How to Make an Outstanding Tiny Desk AI Video

Tiny Desk AI turns one adult photo into a 14-second office-concert video. Your photo guides the lead singer, while the preset supplies the keyboard, backing performers and saxophone ending. Here is the complete workflow, including what to check before paying.

1. Check the sample and output format

Watch the Disco Duke sample on the generator page before choosing a photo. It shows the scene structure and the kinds of face, clothing and motion details the generator produces. The pictured character is an original fictional adult used as a test input.

The preview includes reference audio added for viewing. A purchased download is a silent, vertical 9:16 MP4 at Fast 480p, lasting 14 seconds. If you need a longer clip, several uploaded band members or a song bundled into the download, this preset does not provide those options.

2. Choose one clear adult photo

Choose a waist-up or full-body photo with a visible face and outfit. Use your own image or an image of an adult who has agreed to this use. A single-person photo makes the intended lead singer unambiguous; uploading a group is not a way to assign the supporting band.

Check the face at normal viewing size. Blur, dark shadows, sunglasses and strong beauty filters can obscure the details you want retained. The accepted formats are JPG, PNG and WebP, with a maximum file size of 10 MB.

3. Upload, review and choose a pack

Add your photo in the creator section and check its preview. Confirm the consent statement before continuing. Choose the one-time pack that fits the number of attempts you intend to make; there is no subscription. One generation uses one pass.

Checkout opens through Stripe. Keep the same browser and its site data: your passes and saved photo draft are associated with this browser. Save your payment receipt as well. Returning in a different browser is not an account-transfer workflow.

4. Create the video and review the result

After checkout, return to your studio and create the video with an available pass. Allow several minutes; provider queues may take longer. A delayed status update alone is not a reason to start another render. Return in the same browser to recover the current job.

When the result is ready, watch the entire clip before sharing. Check the lead singer in the wide shot, singing close-up and final foreground appearance. Face and outfit details can vary, and hands, teeth or mouth movement can show AI artifacts. Expressive singing does not guarantee exact synchronization with lyrics.

5. Save the MP4 and add music

Download the completed MP4 and keep your own copy. Open the saved file to confirm it plays. Silence is expected in the downloaded video, even though the example on the site has sound.

Import the clip into your social app or video editor, then add music that is available for your account and intended use. Preview the start, close-up and ending together with the track before posting. Keep the vertical framing so the performers are not accidentally cropped.
